In Postpartum 101 we will discuss what the first six weeks home with a new infant really looks like. The realities of breast feeding, babies sleep and weight patterns, and what to expect in the coming weeks with your new baby. We will break down stereotypes and bridge the gap between preconceived ideals of what parenthood is like and the reality of raising an infant. In this class we will address concerns and questions of first time parents and help set up a portrait of what is normal compared to false notions we may or may not have.
Your eating habits and diet needs will change during your pregnancy, our midwives are here to help guide you in your journey to have the safest, healthiest pregnancy possible. In this 2 hour long course taught by certified nurse midwives we will discuss healthy eating habits, safe exercise routines and the vitamins that are necessary and safe to take during your pregnancy. We will discuss what a Body Mass Index is and how important it can be during pregnancy. We will go over how much you should be eating as well as what is considered normal weight gain during the first half of pregnancy.
